Dan and Sarah’s late winter wedding was a fantastic kickoff to our 2018 wedding season. The crisp morning started early with getting ready photographs at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Bliss Salon was on hand get the ladies ready for the big day. Following the first look and a few bridal party photos, the couple headed to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green for their “I Do’s”.

We made a quick detour on the way back to Nazareth Hall to take a few intimate shots with the newlyweds. Sarah chose deep purple and gray as wedding colors and incorporated her own style in decorating Cadet West for the reception. Klotz Floral provided the flowers, including the table centerpieces of succulents in terrariums and recycled wine bottles arranged with fresh cut flowers. Seven Little Cupcakes created a multi-tiered cupcake tree, with several delicious options for dessert.

The evening’s festivities were kicked off a toast from Sarah’s father. He shared a picture of a much younger Sarah dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, as he explained the metaphor of a young lady searching for her place in life, and the importance for finding the right person with which share the journey down the yellow brick road.

As a side note, Sarah knows how blessed she was to have all four of her grandparents in attendance. Their years, combined with her parents, account for 155 years of marriage! A staggering and humbling number by any standard. Here’s to Sarah and Dan, may they continue this legacy of enduring love.
